Durant Imboden has been writing about Venice since 1996. His original Web site, The Baby Boomer's Venice, led to a 4-1/2-year stint as the Venice guide or editor at About.com. Since 2001, he and Cheryl Imboden have published Venice for Visitors, which PC Magazine has called "the premier visitors' site for Venice, Italy."
Durant and Cheryl created QuickVenice in 2014 as an alternative travel-planning site for readers who wanted "all the basics for shorter trips" in a streamlined format.
Cheryl Imboden was the Switzerland & Austria guide at About.com from 1997 to 2001. She is co-publisher of QuickVenice and Venice for Visitors, and she takes most of the photos for both sites.
