Where to stay for Venice's main cruise terminals
Venice has two cruise-terminal areas: Marittima and San Basilio. Only small ships can moor in central Venice these days, but a number of large-ship cruise lines continue to use the terminal facilities at Marittima for check-in (with passengers being bused to their ships at ports on the mainland).
If your cruise begins or ends at Marittima, you can choose from several hotel locations.
Piazzale Roma area:
From the Piazzale Roma, take the People Mover, a land taxi, or (if your cruise line provides one) a free shuttle bus to your ship.
If you're traveling with heavy luggage, want to avoid footbridges, and don't mind proximity to taxis and buses, these hotels directly on the Piazzale Roma are convenient choices:

Important: All of these hotels are popular (especially during the cruise season), so book early to get a room.
